September 2006 Exhibition
It is a new school year and the Ohio Department of Education is delighted to have artwork from the classroom of Mindy Burger at Nativity School as our first show of the 2006-2007 Exhibition Season. Mindy submitted 94 artworks by 148 students. Her lesson ideas demonstrate a wide variety of inspiration and resources: 1st grade stylized landscapes based on the artwork of Grant Wood
2nd grade cat drawings based on the work of Laurel Burch
3rd grade weightlessness drawings connected to the science curriculum
4th grade Hundertwasser inspired cityscapes
5th grade tunnel books inspired by original student poetry
6th grade batiks
7th grade silk painting, ceramic sculpture, and virtue books
And a stunning group quilt based on the work of Keith Haring.

This is just a small sampling of the fantastic work on display. Check out these exhibition photos.
